    Colleen McKinley Says:

Mac, we all know you’ve always been a publicity hound, but this is ridiculous! Seriously, this is heartbreaking news but there is much reason for hope, with the surgery being a first step. You have a lot to stick around for, continue to be strong!

    Judge Mac:
I am very relieved that you have not turned into a Cats fan (or Clarence Thomas, but that wasn’t realistic enough to worry me). Most of all, I am very grateful that you have successfully come through surgery. Good thoughts heading your way.

    Howard Bracco Says:

    Dear Bill,
Patricia and I were very sorry to learn of your recent illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for a full recovery. A friend in Texas established a similar website when he learned he had advanced pancreatic cancer. I am pleased to say that he is in complete remission with no evidence of cancer. He credited his website connections as a sustaining force for him. I am hopeful that your many friends will send you positive energy that will sustain you to a similar outcome. Thank you for your many kindnesses including officiating at the marriage of my son Jason to my now daughter-in-law Holly. Their marriage has flourished over its ninth year and they have produced two grandchildren Payden 4 and Riley 3 months. They are a continuous joy that never fails to remind me of what is important. Take care dear friend and if I can help in any way please don’t hesitate to let me know.

    Judge William Jennings Says:

MAC: Having read some of your appellate opinions, I knew you must have been having some serious problems. Now that you have had your surgery, I imagine there will be lots of Petitions For Rehearing filed!
Recover quickly or I will bring D’day to town for a visit.

    John Martin Says:

Glad to hear everything went well last week. Get back soon so you can help me take money from Pat Patterson.
On a related note, I hear UK wants to start a scholarship in your name to its law school as a result of your kind comments about the school in the press. I think they want to call it the Clarence Thomas/William McAnulty/Alfalfa Endowed professorship.
Stay Strong- a lot of people are thinking positive thoughts.

    Judge Mac -

We’ve known each other a long time, and I was so very sorry to hear about the cancer. But you’re a strong person and you will beat it. Brenda keeps me posted on how you’re doing, but I want you to know I am thinking about you and praying for your full recovery. If you need anything at all, just let me know. Hang in there - it will be tough, but you can do it!

Kristi - I only met you once, but I know you and all of the kids will be the best medicine he could have.

Love to all - GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jimmy Shaffer Says:

Justice McAnulty — So glad to hear that you have returned home. You have been in my thoughts a prayers. I miss you here at the Court of Appeals. You never ceased to make me laugh, no matter the discussion. While I am sure you are relieved that the Clarence Thomas fears were not realized, I think the color of your website might be cause for concern;) Since I am “dyed in the Blue” I can say we would be happy to have you on the dark (blue) side! Eric and I will continue to keep good thoughts and prayers for you as you continue your treatment.
