Update
Bill is undergoing radiation on his shoulder and femur for the next 10 days. He appreciates the calls, however, needs rest for the next few weeks and is unable to return many of the phone calls. The best form of communication during the next two weeks would be email and I will update the website more frequently. We both appreciate the thoughts and prayers and comments, and gifts of food and flowers. He truly has amazing friends! Kristi McAnulty

Hiya, yeronner
I hate to be the one to blow the lid on this, but i can’t let this charade go on any longer. You really WERE Clarence Thomas before the surgery, but we all like you much better now.
Good karma to you my friend. Thanks for showing us how to deal with something like this with your characteristic grace and class. Peace.

In the face of uncertainty we hope you find comfort in hope, faith and the love of friends and family. You and your family have touched so many lives in so many ways that if good wishes alone could eradicate this disease the flood of positive thoughts would certainly have knocked this thing by now. You have exhibited strength, humor and optimism from which we can all take heart. You will be in our thoughts and prayers now and years from now when you look back at this difficult time from a HEALTHY distance. Take care of each other - let us know if we can help in any way (although for the sake of your remaining health, I promise not to cook!) Love, Anne, Jim, Sophie & Caroline

Bill –
The volume of calls and messages and good wishes you’ve gotten is, I
hope, ‘good medicine’ for the tough challenges you’re facing. You are well loved and much respected, and I want to add my crossed fingers and prayers to all of the others for you.
The humor you’ve shown throughout your ordeal has been such an inspiration. I can’t imagine it’s easy to laugh too much as the treatment drags on, but know you’re getting a lot of encouraging smiles to help
you keep going!
Good wishes,
Joan Riehm

Hey Billy Mc, long time no see but you are in my thoughts and prayers constantly. Was overjoyed to hear you are better and sure look forward to hearing your infectious laugh again. Since retiring from ABO’s office, I don’t get an opportunity to see many of my old buds anymore, but didn’t we make some memories? Haven’t met Kristi, but since she chose you for her mate I know she’s a lovely lady! My heart goes out to you both. Much love, Sherry

Mac: Your decision to resign from the Supreme Court is a decision that will be felt by all Kentuckians. However you did so with all the grace and honor that we have come to expect, and respect, from you. Our best wishes.
We all know you resigned to concentrate on your come back for the next Boomer Ball season. The heck with what McGov and Price have offered, let’s meet for a Bambi Burger and fries before the next SnowBall tournament. See you in the batting cage.
Get well soon, Mac. Our best to the family.

Hey Bill - Just wanted you to know I think good thoughts of you every day. When I read the first article about you in the paper, I laughed at your comments about U of K and Clarence Thomas in the midst of my tears - so typical.
I know this may sound like an empty offer, but if there’s anything I can do…………………….please.
I look forward to running into you at a U of L game or at the mall!
My love and thoughts are with you and your family.

Bill,
I felt that I must get it touch with you although it has been many years since we have seen each other. I am the Cathy that worked with you and Jean in Governor Branigin’s office until I had to quit when having my second son. I was so surprised and proud when I moved to Shelbyville, Kentucky, to discover that you were on the bench. My family is originally from Kentucky and I moved here for retirement.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Give my best to your sister!
God Bless.
Cathy

Bill, Kristi, Will, and Shannon -
We want you to know you have been in our thoughts and prayers for Bill to be pain-free and for all of you to endure the strength to get through this difficult time. (Sorry we have not contacted you earlier, but Linda has had five surgeries - four not expected - since early June and been in the hospital 22 days - she is at home going in the right direction now thank goodness due to lots of prayers and good wishes.) If you need anything, please call us or e-mail us. Let us know if we can take Will to a ballgame. All the best as the school year starts. Our love, peace, and prayers to all of you, Chip, Linda, and Charles
