Justice McAnulty and family,

I am a law student at U of L in my second year. I have only recently been introduced to Justice McAnulty's legendary legal career in this community. It began when I felt compelled to vote for him last November. Though I did not know much about him, I had heard much. What I have learned of him since has made me confident my vote was well cast, and I am greatly saddened that his potential as a Supreme Court Justice will, for the most part, go unrealized. However, I am comforted to know that his prior legal accomplishments will live on, as well his spirit and profound love for the law and civil service - something we both share. It didn't take long for me to learn what a great jurist and human being he was. As a future member of the legal community, I am inspired and motivated by his career accomplishments and can only hope to become half the jurist that he was.

My thoughts are with you all.

Judge McAnulty, I will always remember you as a wonderful person who helped me and my son in Family Court in 1976. My son's father did not acknowledge being his father and I was tired of the entire process of having to answer personal questions. You told me that I could not quit because child support was for my son. My son did receive child support until he was 18 and he is now 31 years old with a Master's degree in business administration, a wonderul, devoted father and husband who has three children. He doesn't worry about his father but he knows that he will always do everything he can to support his family spiritually and financially. It was YOU that helped me to instill this in my son. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU WITH YOUR RECOVERY.

I have thought of you constantly since I heard the discouraging news about your health. Our Lord still performs miracles on a constant basis and I believe Him for complete healing for you. Debbie is an exemplary secretary and it has been my great privilege to know her and to know you. I do not know your family but they must be wonderful. I was in your office after the secretaries' seminar and I felt peace there. Much love to you, Rena Bartlett

Judge McAnulty and Kristi,

Just want the two of you to know that you and the entire family are in my thoughts and daily prayers.

I must tell you I was always proud to have a William McAnulty sign in my yard, as I respect you as an honest person. I love you Kristi.
If I can help in anyway, please call!

Bill and family,

Glad to hear that you have been released from the hospital. Justice Minton and I were discussing at the Farmer's Market on Saturday (the great social meeting place in Bowling Green on Saturday mornings) about how much we enjoy being around you and how you are always a breath of fresh air to those who have the privilege of knowing you.

You and your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Bill & Family,

Hope you got my earlier note. Know that you are in my prayers. Keep up the spirit that made you who you are and the kind of man I am proud to call my friend.

Good luck and know you always make me smile
